Assignment 4-1
Okay, so let me start by saying I hope I don't offend anyone in our class. Bad things usually happen when you start out by saying that. This week I am writing about the infatuation with the WWE. Now, let's all think about this. I heard an interview on The Howard Stern Show where a guy was at a WWE press conference and actually cried when someone was retiring. I will say that again, he cried, HE CRIED! He told them that he appreciated what he had done for this country. For god sakes people, it is not real. What have these people done? I can sit back and say that they have provided hours of entertainment for certain groups of people...who will remain nameless. These actors (if you can call them actors) pretend to wrestle with other guys. By the way, the outfits are...... I will leave it at that. Spandex went out a very long time ago, time to let go. Anyway, I know that it is entertaining but come on, you guys don't think its real....do you? I think it is amazing the thing's in today's society that people are drawn to. One man's Discovery Channel is another man's Smackdown!

I can completely agree with you. My mom never let us watch this stuff and it was not until I was older that I understood why. My brother is a wrestler and I was a stat for several years, so I know the difference betweeen wrestling and crap. It is amazing to see all of the people who go to these shows and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to do so. I am in a socialogy class and that would be an interesting situation to analyze.
ReplyDeleteYou can never have enough nerds, freaks and weirdo's, you know what I'm saying?
ReplyDelete- HHH on the Boogie Man & Hornswaggle wanting to join DX -
What would we do if we did't have an outlet like the WWE to relax with?
